Sree Ayyappa Devasthanam, Lal Bazar reverently invites all devotees to participate in the Prathishta Dina Mahotsavam, to be observed on Wednesday, 04 February 2026, marking the sacred eve of the temple’s consecration anniversary. The evening Mahotsavam will be conducted with traditional rituals strictly following Sabarimala Thanthric customs, preserving the spiritual sanctity and discipline associated with Lord Ayyappa worship

This auspicious observance offers devotees an opportunity to immerse themselves in devotion through Deeparadhana, Sudhi Pooja, Bhajana, and the concluding sacred chants of Padipattu and Harivarasanam.

Programme Schedule (Evening)

  • 06:30 PM – Deeparadhana
    The ceremonial lighting of lamps invoking divine grace and auspiciousness.
  • 06:45 PM onwards – Prasada Sudhi (Sudhi Pooja)
    Conducted by the Sabarimala Thanthri, this purification ritual sanctifies the temple atmosphere and offerings in accordance with traditional Thanthric practices.
  • 07:00 PM – Bhajana
    Devotional singing by the Devasthanam Bhajana Mandali, creating an atmosphere of spiritual fervour and collective devotion.
  • 08:50 PM – Padipattu
    The sacred eighteen-step hymn, symbolizing the spiritual ascent and discipline of Ayyappa devotees.
  • 08:55 PM – Harivarasanam
    The revered lullaby of Lord Ayyappa, marking the conclusion of the day’s worship.
  • 09:00 PM – Temple Closes
  • 09:10 PM – Mahaprasadam
    Samarpanam lovingly offered by Master Advith, S/o O. N. Ratish, Grandson of K. Haridas, as an expression of devotion and gratitude to Lord Ayyappa.
